Heritage status isn’t the death-knell to development – heritage assets need to be put to alternative uses to enable their long-term survival. Equally Local Development Plans often permit traditional buildings to be used for purposes which Local Authorities might not have otherwise entertained.

We can demonstrate why alternative uses are required to enable the long-term retention of heritage assets and we work with Conservation Officers to agree a mutual acceptable strategy to afford no harm, or to prove a case for enabling development.
