Basking in (reflected) Olympic glory…

We have just received permission to extend the home of Deer Park Archers, a not for profit sports club situated within the Gloucester Green Belt run entirely by volunteers and which counts the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Gold Medallist, the 2022 senior world record holder at the European Championships, the Individual Cadet Compound World Champion and the Junior Compound World Champion among its 200 members.

The club takes its members (18% of whom have a disability) right through from the grass roots to Olympic Gold for a membership fee of just £20 per annum.

The location of the site within the Green Belt made this a trickier than anticipated application.

Notwithstanding this it has been an absolute pleasure and to have played a small part in facilitating the club’s future development.
